"Nobody lays a paw on those that I hold dear and gets out unscathed!"
The Basics
Name: Dustyrose
Previous names: Dustykit, Dustypaw
Her Omen: Thankfully, this was a story that her mother told her before she was lost. Dappledfawn was padding through a field of roses. Now, roses are known for their sickeningly sweet scent, and a whole field of them was sure to make her nose itch. However, when the inevitable sneeze came, dust flew everywhere. When she saw Dusty's pelt, a greyish brown when she was born, she knew that that dream had to have been for her. Later in life, when her parents had already passed and it was time for her warrior ceremony, the "rose" part came from her sweet scent and her fur, soft as rose petals.

Parents: Dappledfawn and Swoopinghawk, both lost in a battle with a traveling band of rogues called the "Premorse Syndicate," a group who had traveled around, killing any cat who did not share their disdain for the Clan of the Stars, when she was just an apprentice.
Siblings: Pinefrost (She-cat)
Clan: LichenClan
Clan: LichenClan
Rank: Warrior
Mentored by: And old cat named Ashsoul, since deceased
Age: 65 moons
Sex: She-cat
Gender: Female
Gender: Female
Apprentices Past and Present: Briarrose
A Bit Deeper
Looks: She's a mottled, muted Ragdoll/Siberian/Norwegian Forest Cat/Maine Coon (mostly Ragdoll) mix, boasting of a combination of dark browns, pale browns and creams. She's (when not pregnant, of course) slender and lithe, but fit, and her thick, long fur is sleek and well-groomed. Her eyes are the colour of freshly-fallen rain, a clear blue, but they hold a slightly dusty tone to them as well, thus the origin of her namesake (along with the pale tone of her fur).
Personality: Generally, she's a very sweet cat. She abides by and follows the Code as well and as closely as she can, with very few (if any) exceptions. She is loyal and absolutely loves being a warrior, a dedicated cat to her Clan through and through. She's very friendly with most of her Clanmates. With a pretty good sense of humour (though many an awful pun), she tends to be pretty sarcastic and lighthearted, making it somewhat easy for her to calm down and cheer up her friends/Clanmates. She's very sensitive to the needs of others, be they complex or simply a nice long talk. She can get a little snippy sometimes, especially when she's stressed out or swamped with duties, but given that you are patient with her, she will be more patient with you.
Sexuality: Her kithood crushes were of both sexes. Nowadays, she tends to lean towards heterosexuality.
Scent: Beechnuts, rose petals, and morning dew.
Belief: As her parents had, she believes in StarClan. On the night of their death, in her dreams, the comforting warmth of them both had surrounded her, whispering apologies and comforting words, assuring her that all would be well without them so long as she didn't give up. Words easily welcomed by an apprentice, however unrealistic and sweet, they had certainly calmed her mind then. But now, as she's gotten older and wiser, she has started to worry about the shadows lurking in the forest, and just what may lurk beyond her blue gaze...
Voice: The female voice in Of Monsters & Men (example here: www.youtube.com/watch?v=ghb6eDopW8I) P.S. This is also a theme song of hers.
Mates Past and Present:
Her first: His name was Driftwood. He was a handsome young tom, a patchy tortoiseshell of dark browns and near blacks with glowing amber eyes. Not long after they had conceived, he was lost in a very unfortunate accident. He had been perched precariously atop a vantage point in a lofty pine. Normally, he was an excellent climber. He'd even been reasonably skilled in apprenticehood. However, that day, as his mind was on many things other than the task at paw, when a harsh wind warning of a coming storm whipped through the boughs of his branch, his lightweight frame was easily knocked off. He was later found beneath the tree, pelt drenched in rain and blood, his body broken by the force of the fall. She doesn't talk about him much anymore, unless some cat asks about him and about her first litter. She doesn't see much need to. She's moved on, now.

And now?: She fell for Crowstar, flat on her face. With him, she was happy and her life got back on track. Her confidence, in herself and in general, had increased exponentially, and is at an all-time high. Instead of panicking and being upset when she felt that she was slowing him down, it drove her to work harder, and she felt that he had helped her to become a better Dustyrose every day. Crowstar was the only cat who could ever find a way to make her feel at ease, to make her forget even just for a moment all of the terrible hardships she had endured. Even in his death, she is fully dedicated to her mate and has no interest beyond friendship with any other tom or she-cat.
Kits: Asterlight, Dovefrost, Daisydrop, Bravewing, Petalkit (Stillborn), Robinpaw, Dawnpaw (Lost in the flood), Tinysquirrel, and she adopted Shrimpface. **SHE WILL BE HAVING FOUR NEW KITS SOON!!**
Crush: Well, he's more than a crush, isn't he? Crowstar, of course.
Heritage: She is a pure-blooded LichenClan cat, a lover of tree-climbing and feeling the wind in her whiskers as it blows through the forest canopy.

~Crowstar: I respected you more than any other cat, and followed your every command without question. I truly believe that you were the best leader that LichenClan has ever seen. Behind your stoic veneer, I knew you had a much more kind heart than you liked to let on. I can't tell you how grateful I was for your presence during my first kitting and my second, and refusal to leave my side. Without you, I wouldn't have gotten through even the first one... I love you, my dear. I love you more than I ever thought I would, and I miss you more than I ever thought I would have to. There is not a day that you do not cross my mind. I will love you all of my days, Crowstar, and I promise you that as long as I live, you will never be forgotten.
~Shadoweye:She's pretty close with Shadoweye, as they share the nursery now. Much darkness hides behind her gaze, this she's found, but she's nearly certain that this darkness comes from her memories alone. She worries about this she-cat, but has high hopes for her. She's a LichenClanner, after all, and she's treated Dusty with kindness. Why wouldn't she do the same for all of their clanmates? She's sure there's nothing to worry about. (She misses her dear friend very much, now that she's gone from this world. She hopes and prays that it is the Clan of Stars that she has been accepted into, and not the Dark Forest that seems to be growing more and more active with each passing day.)
~Pigeonwatcher: I would trust you with my life, though you have always been so much less serious about life than you should be.
~Crowface: What a kind she-cat! Though, I'm worried about your health, as I overheard her troubles about some spirit cat bothering you, but I trust that you, as the reliable and loyal she-cat you are, will get through it unscathed.
~Flamewhisker: I don't know what I ever thought I saw in you, you selfish and capricious tom...
~Featherfrost: You are so very, very brave for your age. The way that you handled that rogue, Ember....I am forever grateful.
~Pinefrost: My dearest sister... I am attached to you like green to a leaf in Newleaf. I owe so much to you for caring for me whenever I was sad or hurt by our parents' passing, and I owed you even more when you helped care for Driftwood's kits. I miss you every day, and I'm so sorry that I couldn't save you.
~Shrimpface: My dear, you may not have ever been my son by blood, but that has never mattered. I swore I would protect you and raise you as if you were, and you've truly grown into such a lovely young tom. I'm so proud of you.
~Wiltedflower: I knew you had affections for Crowstar, and I knew that they hadn't gone away. I'm sorry for being rude with you when the time came to be honest with each other, and I hope that we can always stay friends. I've really grown so fond of you.
~Briarrose: My first apprentice, even now I worry that you dislike me, and I don't know what I can do to change that. Nevertheless, I'm very proud of you, and I've always been quite fond of you.
~Tinysquirrel: Where did I go wrong with you? You're so volatile and distant...I can't seem to put my paw on how this could have happened. I pray for a time when you will go back to being my kind, loving kit, but moreso for a time in which I won't be terrified of what you might become.
~Robinpaw: My dearest daughter, you have a wise head on your shoulders. You'll do well in life, I'm sure of it. Just try to have more courage. I know it can be hard sometimes, but I believe in you, and I always will.
~Skypaw: What a rude little tom! I've heard the things that you've said about me...but where does it come from? I was nothing but nice to your mother(s) and siblings in your time during the nursery, so what could have brought this forward?
~Dovefrost: My son, I'm more proud of you than you could even imagine. You were so very brave during the battle, and I'm so sorry that that ever had to happen to you, that we were ever put into such a disgusting situation as that. I only hope that we will be able to move on from this as a family, and that you'll be okay in the near future. Until then, I'll do everything in my power to make sure that you know how much I love you, how much your father loved you, and how much you'll always be loved.
~Asterlight: I always knew that you'd be just like your father. And in more than looks! You're so headstrong and so independent, you fought at my side like the mightiest warrior and I have never been more proud of you. I have high hopes for your future, even though we've had to endure this terrible calamity. I know that your father is proud of you, and that you'll continue to make him proud every day. I love you dearly and whole-heartedly, and I promise you that I always will.
~Bravewing: You certainly got your father's sense of humour, and while there isn't all that much to laugh about now, you still manage to make me smile, and make me WANT to laugh, and that is a huge feat all on its own. I'm sure that we will find laughter and happiness again in time, and I have full faith that you of all cats will be the one most able to help us with that. You have become a fine, handsome young tom, and I love you dearly.
~Daisydrop: As I said before, no matter what you say or do, no matter what happens to us all in the near or distant future, I will always love you. You are my daughter, my darling. All of my kits are the very light in my life, the strength in my bones that keeps me going when things get rough, even when you've all grown up and you're not kits anymore. I promise you that you will always have your mother's love, and I know that your father loved you dearly too, so don't worry, my dear.

~Vulturestar: I always knew that I should have never trusted you, WE should have never trusted you. But I knew that Crowstar did, and so I bit my tongue. But you...you foul, loathsome, BETRAYING FOXHEART. You murdered my husband and an act like that is something that I can never forget and never forgive. I may not have hit you in the exact way that I intended, but I'm not sorry that I did. I hope you like your new scars.

Roleplay Sample (this is also canon to the roleplay, to anyone who was wondering about Dusty's Omen dream for her first litter!):
"Oh," she mewed softly to herself, "No wonder the stone was getting cold. It's getting to be pretty late, isn't it..." Chuckling softly, her whiskers twitching with her amusement, she continued to examine the sky. Judging by it's colours, its original blue turned to a light lavender, mixed also with splashes of rosebud pink and bright, sunflower orange, it would not be very long before the sun released its reign over the sky to be replaced by the moon's gentle glow. Soon, Silverpelt would make its climb up above the horizon to take the night watch, a great warrior in the sky to look over and protect all the Clans, every cat beneath its speckled, dotted lights. Knowing that she'd been told time and time again to make sure that she got back to the nursery before it got too late, though, she sighed heavily. It was true that she still hadn't received but a single Omen, a dream that would give her hints as to what her new kits would be like when they came into the world, a dream that would aid her in choosing names for them. Perhaps to-night would be the night? She hoped so...she really did. But she mustn't be silly and believe that it would never happen. Crowstar had been right when he was comforting her the other night. These kits were born to be LichenClanners, pure children of the trees through and through. They would be strong little fighters, and nothing could be more certain. And furthermore,
"They're Driftwood's kits..." she whispered so that only she could hear, "Of course they'll be fine..." But now, it was time for her to make the trek back to the nursery and its comforting warmth. She'd be happy to get back to her cozy nest, one made of soft moss (moss that had been replaced by Littlepaw in her absence, as Shadoweye had reported earlier), down feathers, and her own shed, fluffy fur. But as for even the effort of getting up...well, she wasn't looking forward to it all that much. Slowly and carefully, she rose to her paws, stumbling only once before gaining balance. With an exhale of relief, she then turned to face her destination. Determination filling her up, she started her slow walk back. Dipping her head respectfully to Crowstar and Sandferret in turn as she passed them (they appeared to have been having a casual conversation by Crowstar's den), she did her best not to show the pain that she was feeling as one of her kits started up a steady kicking from within her. It wouldn't be long before she had them, but she found it amusing how strong they already were. Finally, huffing and puffing from the effort that it took to carry the extra weight, she arrived at the nursery, its warmth and sweet, milky scent enveloping her and washing over her in a wave of serenity and peace. Padding over to her den, she lowered herself to the ground slowly, curling up and wrapping her fluffy tail around her body, covering her snow-coloured paws. Burying her nose into her tail, it didn't take long after allowing her lids to cover her soft, blue eyes for sleep to take her.
When her eyes opened, she was in her nest again. Only the sunset was gone and replaced by a pale, pink sunrise. Had she really already slept the whole night through? No...it couldn't be. The camp was empty, and surely by now she'd be hearing Littlepaw's shrieks that signaled it was time for the dawn patrol and SHE wanted to go. Then she realized. She must be dreaming. Twitching her whiskers and smiling at this realization, one that she usually didn't have until AFTER she woke up the next morning, she rose to her paws and stretched out, her back arching gracefully and her maw gaping open wide to display her pearly white fangs for but a moment before her lips closed over them again. But then, she felt a strong tickling sensation about her nose. Without any further warning, she sneezed loudly. Blinking a bunch, she shook out her fur, and then cocked her head to the side. A mimosa puff had apparently found its way into the nursery and drifted down onto her nose to make her sneeze, for now, it was floating down slowly in front of her, and soundlessly finding a resting place just in front of her nest. Swishing her tail and snickering with amusement, she emerged from the den, padding out until she was in the middle of camp.
"Hello?" she called, "Is anyone there? It's me, Dustyrose. Hello??"
"I was beginning to wonder when you'd have this dream. They told me it would be soon." Dustyrose jumped, her long fur puffing out so that she was twice her size. Her eyes stretched wide in alarm, she whispered cautiously,
"Wh-who's there? I recognize your voice...but I don't know where from.. Come out of hiding. Show yourself!" But when she turned around to look at the place that the voice had been resonating from, her eyes were not yet prepared for the sight that she would behold. Carrying a robin feather in his teeth, muscles ripping under his mottled brown pelt, was a cat she had not seen in some time, a cat that she had desperately wanted to see since the night that he had been taken from her.
"Have you missed me, my love?" purred a handsome, deep voice. That settled it. It was Driftwood. Tears welling up in her eyes, Dustyrose rushed forward. Pressing her muzzle into his pelt, taking in his familiar scent, she was at a loss for words for a few moments. Rasping her tongue over his chest fur, she finally whispered,
"Of course I've missed you...how could I not..?" at this, the tom chuckled, a rumbling laugh that made him shake with its force. But then, his eyes grew more serious. Dustyrose broke away from him to look into his eyes as she meowed, "I know that StarClan does not send their warriors about willy-nilly and without reason. There must be a reason as to why you have visited me. Is there trouble?" Again, a laugh escaped his muzzle.
"No, no, my dear. There is no trouble. You may relax. However, there is another matter. Surely you have wondered about your Omen? About our kits? I have come to make sure that you got it. Now, I cannot explain to you which of these signs that have been given to you so far are Omens. That is something that you must discover and determine for yourself. But I can tell you that you have, now, gotten them."
"I see..." she started, a bit upset now, "So that must mean that you must leave soon...?"
"Dustyrose...don't fret. I'm always here to watch over you. Always, and that is a promise. And should you move on...well, I hope that you do... There's no sense in losing yourself in a cat that you will not see again..." And to her dismay, her former mate's voice was fading, the camp all around her beginning to blur and fade as well. She knew that she must be waking. What odd things had she seen in her dream? She vowed, as she nuzzled underneath Driftwood's chin one last time as everything gave way to darkness again, to figure out what things had been Omens when she woke to the real world again.
